Dinesh Kant Kumar (SM') is Professor at RMIT University, Melbourne, since 1997 where he leads research in Biosignals and his passion is to develop devices for affordable diagnostics. He received the B.E. from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, India, and the PhD from IIT, Delhi, India, in 1990. He has experience in two start-ups. He has authored more than 420 papers and 7 books. He has been Senior Professorial Fellow in Brazil, and currently is Vajra fellow in India. He is on the TGA (Australia) advisory panel for medical devices. He is also associate editor for IEEE TNSRE and Journal of Biomedical Signals and Controls.
